The 1980s were a good time to be a football card collector. Unlike baseball, there was only one or two football sets from the 1980s that were useless to collect. There were some great rookies and a lot of stars were in their prime in this decade. As late as 1986, there are expensive gems to be uncovered in old football card collections.
