1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle

This 1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle baseball card is the true rookie card of one of the most popular players of all time. Though it is overshadowed in popularity by the 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle "rookie" card, this card would probably be the gem of any collection. For whatever reason, Mantle memorabilia has always sold for more than that of contemporaries like Willie Mays and Hank Aaron, and this Bowman rookie card is no exception as it is very expensive on the open market.
