1952 Topps Mickey Mantle

Possibly the most popular rookie card of all time, this 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle "rookie" card, number 311, is the holy grail in many baseball card collecting circles. One of the most expensive post-World War 2 cards, owning this is just a dream for most collectors. Though not actually his true rookie card (that honor belongs to Mantle's 1951 Bowman rookie card), this card is colloquially referred to as his rookie card and the image of this card is recognizable even to non-collectors. The reasons as to why this card is so unbelievably popular are questionable; perhaps it is due to the fact that Mantle was such a famous player for such a popular team or to the fact that this is the most popular card of the first Topps baseball card set. A longtime center fielder for the New York Yankees, Mickey Mantle is considered one of the greatest players of all time.
How someone wouldn't rate this a 5? I have no idea. This card is even better than Mantle's pure rookie from the 1951 Bowman set. The best card of all time...easy.
Trying to find out how much that card is actually worth today.
I heard recently that the Mickey Mantle 1952 TOPPS card sold for $250,000. Could you verify this for me, who bought it and how they arrived at this figure? Appreciate anything you can do about this matter.
Jerry
Apparently a 1951 Bowman Mantle sold for over $150K a few years back. The most I've ever heard the 1952 Topps one go for is $70K.
how much is it worth?
