1952 Topps Willie Mays

This 1952 Topps Willie Mays "rookie card" is the first Topps card of the legendary Giants outfielder. Though Mays had a Bowman card released in 1951, many still refer to this card as a Willie Mays rookie card. Today, the 1952 Topps baseball card set is considered one of the finest sets ever issued and this card is near the top of the heap, though it is a distant second to the Mickey Mantle Topps rookie. Very few collectors are lucky enough to have seen this card much less own it.
