1954 Topps Al Kaline

This 1954 Topps Al Kaline rookie card is the first card of the great Detroit Tigers outfielder. Somewhat overshadowed by the rookie cards of Hank Aaron and Ernie Banks which were included in the same 1954 Topps set, this card is a great target as a relatively affordable vintage rookie card. Featuring a classic picture of a young Kaline, this one should be at the top of the want list for any Tigers collector. The eighteen time All Star spent his entire career with Detroit where he was a part of their 1968 World Championship team. Kaline was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1980.
