1954 Topps Ernie Banks

This 1954 Topps Ernie Banks rookie card is the first card of the Chicago Cubs legend. This very old fashioned looking baseball card comes from a 1954 Topps baseball card set with a handful of rookie cards of great players. This rookie card is pretty expensive, so not too many Cubs collectors have this vintage card in their collection. Those lucky enough to be targeting this card may have to spend into the thousands to get it in the condition they want. Banks was a fourteen time All Star and two time National League MVP. Known as Mr. Cub, he is a member of the MLB 500 Home Run Club. Banks was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1977.
