1958 Topps Roger Maris

This 1958 Topps Roger Maris rookie card features the great slugger in an unlikely uniform. Though Maris did not put together a Hall of Fame career, this is one of the great rookie baseball cards of its time. Fairly expensive on the open market, Maris fans should be able to shop around for a reasonable price on this Topps rookie card. There is no doubt this is a great buy target for vintage baseball card collectors. Maris played only one full season in Cleveland before being traded to Kansas City in the middle of the 1958 season. A year and a half later he was traded to the New York Yankees where he would go on to break Babe Ruth's single season home run record in 1961.
