This 1959 Topps Bob Gibson rookie card includes a smiling picture of the young St. Louis Cardinals fireballer. Gibson would go on to become an eight time All Star and two time Cy Young Award winner. With the Cardinals, he won two World Championships and was the World Series MVP both times. In one World Series game he had seventeen strikeouts which is still a record. Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1981, he is generally considered to be the most fearsome pitcher of all time.
