Though primarily known as a left fielder playing in front of the Green Monster in Boston's Fenway Park, this 1960 Topps Carl Yastrzemski rookie card denotes the young Yastrzemski as a second baseman. "Yaz" would go on to become one of the greatest Boston Red Sox of all time. He was an eighteen time All Star and a seven time Gold Glover. He was chosen as the American League's Most Valuable Player in 1967. Ending his career with nearly 3,500 hits and over 450 home runs, Yastrzemski was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1989. As he is frequently mentioned in the top handful of players of all time, this rookie card is sure to remain popular for years. Though its price is a bit high, this card has found its way into the collection of many vintage baseball card collectors.
