1962 Topps Joe Torre

This 1962 Topps Joe Torre rookie card is the first card of the famous player turned manager. A great looking catcher card, this one comes from the legendary wood design bordered 1962 Topps set. Featuring a picture of a very young looking Torre, this card is not as expensive as one might expect and is a great target for vintage rookie card collectors. Torre was invited to nine All Star games in his career. He suited up the gear for three teams; the Milwaukee Brewers, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the New York Mets. He was voted the 1971 National League MVP while playing for the Cardinals. Torre would go on to attain greater fame managing the New York Yankees to four World Series Championships.
