1963 Topps Willie Stargell

This 1963 Topps Willie Stargell rookie card is the first card of the Pittsburgh Pirates legend. Though Stargell would go on to a Hall of Fame career, this card is clearly the second best rookie card of the 1963 Topps baseball card set (top honors has to go to the Pete Rose rookie card). Though the multiple player rookie cards from the 1963 Topps set are a bit odd looking, this card can be fairly expensive on the open market. Stargell, a seven time All Star, has his career year year at the ripe old age of 39 when he was named the NL MVP, NLCS MVP, and World Series MVP while leading Pittsburgh to the title in 1979. He spent his entire 21 year career with the Pirates.
