1964 Topps Pete Rose

This 1964 Topps Pete Rose baseball card is the second year card of the controversial, but great, Cincinnati Red. Featuring a great picture of a young Rose, this card declares Rose a Topps All Star Rookie which causes some people to think that it is Rose's rookie card. As there are not any great rookie cards in the 1964 Topps baseball card set, this is considered by some to be the best card of the set. This card is a great consolation prize for anyone who cannot afford his 1963 Topps rookie card, but still want a great early card of the superstar. Although he would go through a bit of a sophomore slump in 1964, Rose would quickly become one of the best players in the game and remain one of the best for much of his long career.
