1965 Topps Steve Carlton

Another great rookie card of a pitcher from the dead ball era, this 1965 Topps Steve Carlton rookie card is a must for any 1960s baseball card collector. Though this card is not cheap on the open market, it is definitely not as expensive as the rookie cards of Carlton's contemporaries...Tom Seaver and Nolan Ryan. A must for any 1960s baseball card collector, this card is also a great buy target for vintage pitcher card collectors. Most famous as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies, "Lefty" was a ten time All Star and four time Cy Young Award winner. He was a World Series Champion in 1967 (Cardinals) and 1980 (Phillies). Generally considered one of the top left handed pitchers of all time, Carlton was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1994.
