1966 Topps Jim Palmer

This 1966 Topps Jim Palmer rookie card is the first card of one of the better pitchers of all time. Though this is probably the top rookie card in the 1966 Topps baseball set, it is fairly affordable on the open market and many feel it is one of the more underrated rookie cards of the 1960s. It is a great target for any vintage Baltimore Orioles card collector and should be in any 1960s baseball card collection. Jim Palmer is a three time World Series Champion and three time Cy Young Award Winner despite pitching in the same era as such pitching greats as Nolan Ryan, Tom Seaver, Catfish Hunter, and Steve Carlton. The six time All Star was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1990.
