1967 Topps Rod Carew

This 1967 Topps Rod Carew rookie card is the first card of the great Minnesota Twin/California Angel. Along with the Tom Seaver rookie card, this card is a top card of the 1967 Topps baseball card set. Though this is not the most expensive 1960s baseball rookie card, it does not come cheaply either. Winning the American League Rookie of the Year in that 1967 season, Carew would go on to be an eighteen time All Star over the course of his career. A one time MVP, Carew had over 3,000 hits in his prolific career. He hit a remarkable .328 in nineteen big league seasons, including leading the league in batting average seven times. Carew was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991.
