Topps A great card from a great set, this 1968 Topps Johnny Bench rookie card includes a very early picture of the great Cincinnati Reds catcher. Though it is a close second as far as the best rookie cards in the set to the Nolan Ryan rookie card, this card can be very expensive on the open market. This price of this rookie card graded mint can stretch into the thousands. Bench went on to become a fourteen time All Star including thirteen consecutive All Star appearances starting in 1968. He would also become a two time N.L. MVP as well as a two time World Series Champion. Bench was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1989.
