Topps This 1972-73 Topps Julius Erving rookie card is the first card of the great forward. Probably the best basketball rookie card of the 1970s, this rookie card can be downright expensive on the open market. This card is a great target for any vintage basketball card collector. This card features Dr. J in the jersey of the ABA's Virginia Squires. He would later go on to star for the Philadelphia 76ers. He was an 11 time All Star, NBA MVP, and NBA Champion. Erving is a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame.
