1972 Topps Roger Staubach

This 1972 Topps Roger Staubach rookie card is not a very attractive card, as Topps for some reason decided to go with a pink and yellow border, but it is a very important 1970s rookie card. Though it is a must for any serious 1970s football card collector and should be on the wish list for any Cowboys collector, this card can be very expensive when in mint condition. It is simply one of the best regular issue Dallas Cowboys cards of all time. An ungraded copy of this card can be had for a decent price considering its age and the player on the front of the card. Staubach would go on to become a six time Pro Bowler and two time Super Bowl Champion as a quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys. He was named the MVP of Super Bowl VI. In 1985, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
