1977 Topps Dale Murphy

This 1977 Topps Dale Murphy rookie card is the first card of one of the top players of the 1980s. One of the best rookie cards of the 1977 Topps baseball card set, this Murphy rookie should be very popular with Braves fans. Because this card can be fairly affordable on the open market, it is a great target for any 1970s baseball card collector. Murphy, widely considered one of the top players ever to take the field for the Braves, was a seven time All Star and five time Gold Glove Winner. Despite the fact that he came up as a catcher (as this card says), he is most remembered for the years he played in the outfield. Many feel that the two time National League Most Valuable Player is one of the greatest players not in the Baseball Hall of Fame.
