Topps This 1979 Topps Earl Campbell rookie card is the first card of the former Houston Oilers running back. The gem of the 1979 Topps set, the popularity of this card has faded with time. The first overall pick in the 1978 NFL Draft, Campbell would go on to be named the NFL Offensive Player of the Year three times in his eight year career. The five time Pro Bowler was named the 1979 NFL MVP.
