1979 Topps Ozzie Smith

Though he was best known as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals, this 1979 Topps Ozzie Smith rookie card features the legendary shortstop as a young San Diego Padre. One of the top baseball cards of the late 1970s, this card is a great target for any baseball card collector. Although it is not too expensive on the open market, this card does not come cheap. It is an absolute must have for any serious Cardinals collector. Due to the interesting photo of the young Smith, this card is one of the more recognizable Topps baseball cards of all time. Smith would go on to become a fifteen time All Star and thirteen time Gold Glove winner. The Wizard was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2002.
