1980-81 O-Pee-Chee Ray Bourque rookie card

Ray Bourque
Year:
1980-81
Set:
O-Pee-Chee

This 1980-81 O-Pee-Chee Ray Bourque rookie card is the first card of the great Boston Bruins defenseman. A difficult card to find with an intact scratch off puck over the name, most will have to settle for one like the card pictured. Though this is a great target for any hockey card collector, a mint graded Ray Bourque rookie will set a prospective buyer back hundreds of dollars. This card should be at or near the top of the list for any Bruins collector or 1980s hockey card collector. Bourque was named the NHL's top defender five times, was named an All Star 19 times, and won a Stanley Cup late in his career with the Colorado Avalanche. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2004.

Actually, I think the scratch off puck over the names were only on the Topps cards. I seem to remember this for some reason.

I have this card!!! :P
