1982 Topps Traded Cal Ripken Jr.

This 1982 Topps Traded Cal Ripken Jr. rookie card can be thought of as Cal Ripken's signature rookie card even though he had a regular issue card in the 1982 Topps Set. Perhaps due to the fact that it is the first solo Topps card of the great Orioles shortstop, this is Ripken's most expensive rookie card. Although this card remains a nice mark for all baseball card collectors, it is mostly collected by hardcore 1980s baseball card enthusiasts or Ripken memorabilia collectors as there are more affordable rookie cards of the legend. There is very little chance that this card will ever lose value on the open market.
