1983 Topps Ryne Sandberg

This 1983 Topps Ryne Sandberg rookie card is the debut card of the Chicago Cubs legend. Coming from the 1983 Topps set that was famous for its rookies, this card has been popular with collectors for years. Though it is a lot more affordable than it once was, a highly graded specimen of this rookie card can be very expensive. It is hotly debated in 1980s baseball card collecting circles as to whether this card is the best rookie in the set that also brought us the Wade Boggs and Tony Gwynn rookies. A great player for a big market team, Sandberg was a ten time All Star as a second baseman for the Cubs and has an MVP award. He is a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame.
