1984 Topps USFL Herschel Walker

This 1984 Topps USFL Herschel Walker extended rookie card is the first card of one of the most talented running backs to ever take the field. Coming from a 1984 Topps USFL football card set full of rookie cards of great Hall of Fame players, this card is a very good second tier option for any 1980s football card collector. Once one of the more coveted rookies amongst collectors, this card can be very affordable on the open market. A 3-time All-American and the 1982 Heisman Trophy winner, Walker signed with the New Jersey Generals in 1983 because he was not yet eligible to play in the NFL. He would eventually come over to the NFL and star for the Dallas Cowboys before being traded to the Minnesota Vikings for pretty much half a Super Bowl team. Because Walker excelled in his years in the USFL, this card can be looked at as his signature rookie card.
