1984 Topps USFL Marcus Dupree

This 1984 Topps USFL Marcus Dupree rookie card is the first pro card of the Mississippi Legend. Coming from a 1984 Topps USFL football card set chock full of rookie cards of Hall of Fame players, this card is more of a novelty piece of nostalgia than a great rookie card. Though Dupree was supposed to be the best running back since Jim Brown, his career did not pan out as a result of emotional issues and injuries. His short stint in the USFL was followed years later by a short stint in the NFL. Nevertheless, this card can be an underrated mark for any 1980s football card collector and can be had at a reasonable price.
