1984 Topps USFL Steve Young

This 1984 Topps USFL Steve Young extended rookie card is the first professional football card of the legendary quarterback. This card is one of the most expensive football cards of the 1980s and is a dream for any San Francisco Giants collector despite featuring Young in the uniform of the USFL's Los Angeles Express. Only the most serious of 1980s football card collectors are able to piece together the 1984 Topps USFL set and this Steve Young rookie card will be among their biggest purchases. Despite signing a 10 year deal with the Galaxy, Young went back to the NFL when the USFL folded in 1985. Years later he became the starting quarterback for the 49ers and the rest is football history.
