1986 Donruss Jose Canseco

It's hard to believe there was a time when this 1986 Donruss Jose Canseco rookie card was the hottest card on the market. Coming from the hard to keep mint blue bordered 1986 Donruss set, this card was highly sought after for a good five years after its release. It still has a bit of a niche following with 1980s baseball card collectors, but now this card is very affordable. It is no doubt Jose Canseco's signature rookie card. In the late 1980s the Oakland Athletics outfielder won an MVP award and a World Series championship. The Cuban slugger also hit 40 home runs and stole 40 bases in the same year. His career quickly devolved into comic fielding errors and steroid admissions.
