1987 Fleer Barry Bonds

This 1987 Fleer Barry Bonds rookie card is probably the least seen of his 1987 regular issue rookie cards, but it is not exactly rare. Featuring a bright blue border, this rookie card was popular for the better part of two decades from when Bonds was a star 5-tool young superstar through his steroid assisted MLB record breaking years. This card features a classic picture of Bonds in his Pittsburgh Pirates uniform. Though it shouldn't cost more than a few bucks on the open market, the 1987 Fleer baseball card set can be considered the last baseball card set Fleer got moderately right before the overproduction years. It's kind of a shame because Fleer did great work in basketball cards during those same years.
