1988 Topps Traded Roberto Alomar

This 1988 Topps Traded Roberto Alomar rookie card is one of a handful of rookie cards of the former big league second baseman. Due to the fact that baseball card sets in 1988 were generally over produced and of low quality, serious Alomar collectors generally are relegated to go after the Topps Tiffany version of this rookie card which is probably Alomar's best rookie card. The card pictured is very inexpensive on the open market even in mint condition. Though pictured here as a San Diego Padre, Alomar would go on to win the World Series twice as a member of the Toronto Blue Jays. The twelve time All Star is widely regarded as one of the best second baseman to ever play the game.
