1989 Fleer Billy Ripken

The most notorious error card of all time, this 1989 Fleer Billy Ripken card is still fodder for sports fans to this day. Most well known as being the brother of Cal Ripken Jr., one of the biggest superstars in the game, Billy Ripken oddly has his time in the sun after the release of this card. Kids everywhere attempted to get their hands on this simple baseball card not because of the value or the player on it, only because what is written on the bottom of his bat. Today there are many variations of this card available each with different market prices, but collecting purists will have to get their hands on the original error if they don't already have it in their collection. Unfortunately, this error card is the only thing that Fleer did well for about a 5 year stretch in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
