1990 Leaf Frank Thomas rookie card

Frank Thomas

1990

Leaf

This 1990 Leaf Frank Thomas rookie card was one of the few bright spots in a terrible year for card collecting. Although the card isn't very attractive, it beats out the junk that a lot of other companies issued that year as Leaf issued a surprisingly solid set in 1990. Today, this card serves as Thomas' signature rookie card and can be slightly expensive on the open market. It is a great buy target for any 1990s baseball card collectors. The Big Hurt would go on to become a five time All Star and two time American League MVP. He has amassed over 500 home runs in his storied career. He won a World Series Championship with the Chicago White Sox in 2005 despite not playing as a result of an injury.

Frank Thomas had one rookie card that they forgot to put his name on. It was really weird looking but I think it had some value as an error card. You would think that they would be more careful with cards of stars like Thomas was in the early 90s.
