1994 Upper Deck Alex Rodriguez

This 1994 Upper Deck Alex Rodriguez rookie card features a great picture of A-Rod who was then a young shortstop for the Seattle Mariners. Being the first overall draft pick in 1993 this card was highly sought after by prospect hunters. Oddly, A-Rod wasn't the biggest star with a rookie card in that 1994 Upper Deck baseball set as Michael Jordan also had a rookie card that year. It will be interesting to see what the long term value of this card will turn out to be considering both the many career records that A-Rod will break and the fact that he has admitted to steroid use.
