Topps This 2004 Topps Philip Rivers rookie card is a first year card of one of the top quarterbacks in the league. Coming from the not so attractive 2004 Topps football set, this is a very affordable rookie card. Not one of Rivers' best rookie cards, this is more of an entry level rookie card of the San Diego Chargers field general. Drafted fourth overall in 2004 by the New York GIants, Rivers was quickly traded to San Diego for Eli Manning. A multiple time Pro Bowler, Rivers has led the Chargers to a handful of playoff wins in his young career.
