2005 Topps Update Carlos Gonzalez

This 2005 Topps Update Carlos Gonzalez rookie card is the first card of the promising young outfielder. As it has taken Gonzalez a few years to establish himself in the big leagues, his rookie cards have yet to really take off. This particular Topps rookie card is very affordable on the open market at this time. Collectors who are trying to invest heavily in Gonzalez would be better served targeting the Topps Chrome version of this card. Though the Diamondbacks were the first team to sign Gonzalez to a contract, he has twice been traded in his young career; once to the Oakland Athletics as part of the Dan Haren deal and once to the Colorado Rockies as part of the Matt Holliday deal. The Rockies are hoping that both teams will someday regret giving up on the prospect. Many feel that Gonzalez will be the league's next 5-tool star.
