Upper Deck This 2006-07 Upper Deck Phil Kessel is the top standard rookie card of a player who has displayed about as much offensive fire power as any forward in the NHL for the last five years. Drafted fifth overall by the Boston Bruins in 2006, Kessel's career started off a bit rocky as he was diagnosed with cancer during his rookie season. When he became healthy he proved to be one of the top young snipers in the league. Being named to the 2010 USA Olympic hockey team and being traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs has greatly raised Kessel's profile and made him a star in the league.
