Excited to See an Albert Pujols Angels Baseball Card?
Albert Pujols, the top free agent hitter on the market and a likely future Hall of Famer, signed a $254 million, ten-year contract with the Los Angeles Angels this week. After spending eleven spectacular seasons in St. Louis, it will be a bit odd to see Pujols in an Angels uniform. He leave the Cardinals with almost 450 career home runs and two World Series Championships. There is little doubt that he will be a huge fan favorite in Los Angeles.
Pujols is perennially among the most popular baseball players with card and memorabilia collectors. His rookie cards are the most sought after cards of the last 15 years or so. Baseball card collectors will surely be clamoring to get their hands on Pujols' first Angels cards and they should probably be the most popular cards along with whomever the industry decides will be the hot rookies next year. Unfortunately, they will have to wait a few months.
