The Rookie Cards of the 2009 Inductees to the Baseball Hall of Fame

Some card collectors primarily collect autographs. Others collect rare cards. Some collect vintage cards. Still, others speculate on new rookies in hopes of finding value early on a great player before they take off. Some only collect cards that they know will be timeless. For the last bunch, their best bet is to collect the rookie cards of Hall of Famers. These cards will never be forgotten.

This year two left fielders were inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. They are; Jim Rice of the Boston Red Sox, and Rickey Henderson, most notably an Oakland Athletic and New York Yankee. Here are their rookie cards:

The stolen base king made his baseball card debut as a member of the Oakland Athletics with this 1980 Topps Rickey Henderson Rookie card. He may have considered himself the greatest of all time, but no one can argue that this card was one of the greatest of it's time. Rickey Henderson is currently a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame.
