Ugly Rookie Pictures

| Just imagine this, it's 1992 and you're a 42nd round draft pick trying to make an MLB team. You show up one day at Spring Training in the Arizona heat and you're busting your ass trying to make an impression. You're standing next to millionaires and you have an eight dollar haircut you got in your Alabama hometown. You make a couple of mistakes and your confidence is shot by the veteran standing next to you telling you not to even think about taking his job and the grizzled coaches calling you a bum. Nobody wants your autograph, girls wont even look at you, and the batting practice pitcher beaned you...twice. Just then someone who looks like they might be able to tell you what to do comes up and tells you to stand still so you could get your picture taken for a baseball card. They don't even know your name and are way too interested in seeking out action pictures of guys like Barry Bonds and Ken Griffey Jr. to care a bit how good your picture turns out. This was the formula for the tons of amazingly terrible rookie pictures that have been taken of future superstars. Here are a few: |
